Hout Bay is a coastal village at the bottom of a bay, 15 km south of Cape Town. It is bordered by a very pretty white sand beach to the south, to the west by a large rocky promontory called sentinel, and to the east by hills where vineyards are cultivated among others. Peak, also very well-known mountain, is 6 km to the south.
